Short of taking up a habit to replace the nail-biting, maybe you should talk to your dentist. Your nails might suffer a little now, but your teeth will be the real shame when they start to chip because your teeth don't grow back.

Or you could think about how there are millions of germs and bacteria under your nails and by biting them, you're putting yourself at risk for tapeworms, the flu and even memingitis. When my uncle was younger, he used to bite his nails and he injested a small fragment of an earthworm, which grew to about a foot long in his stomach. He had to go to the docot to get it taken out. Or you could also try putting duct tape at the end of your fingernails or even lemon juice. There's also this stuff the doctor can give you that tastes really bitter to put on them.
