when did people start wearing nail polish? and why? if you think about it it's a very weird concept. but don't get me wrong, I like it, I just want to know.

Nail polish is a lacquer that is used for decoration usually cosmetically, but also as protection for the nails. The act of simply polishing the nails without applying a chemical layer afterwards is called nail buffing.
Which can be very healthy, and pretty.
