Hi,

I believe you can use free programs such as Corel Animation Shop. There might also be sites specifically for animating stuff for Myspace, too.

Good luck.

Most animated images on the Internet are either .gif's (images) or .swf (flash) files.
A gif image is really several images set to rotate as a sort of sideshow. Each "layer" or frame of the image is shown for a set period of time before going on to the next.

Flash on the other hand is a bit more complex and allows for other file formats to be imported into the final flash movie.

Gif's are the easiest and simplest things to make.
There is a shareware program you can use to create your own images.
CoffeeCup GIF Animator from http://www.coffeecup.com (Windows OS only)

It will nag you to buy it but it will allow you to drag and drop images to create a gif.
