My Question: Do you agree with Meg told me - give details?

I am no longer at my job because the ex-boss harassed me and lied to get me fired. Right after I was no longer at my job I decided to go to the 99 cent store near my house to buy toothpaste and things of that nature. However, when I was at the 99 Cent store I discovered the clothes and was happy about that.

TODAY THIS CONVERSATION TOOK PLACE:
Mom: “What type of place called you today for an interview”
Me: “A medical place”
Mom: Today I read in the newspaper editorial that the government may extend the unemployment benefits”
Me: “They should. In this day and age 26 weeks is not enough with all the people out of work”
Mom: “I know there are so many people. The exboss really did a number on you”

I called Meg and said “I am really upset at the comment my mother made when she said the exboss did a number on you. Even though the exboss did a number on me I am so glad I found the clothes and of course I want to work. But doesn’t my mom realize the clothes are important to me”. Meg said to me “Your mom wasn’t even thinking about that, all she was thinking about was that you no longer are working, you are projecting your thoughts on to her. And I think you would have found the 99 cent store because it is only five minutes from your house”

Yeah I agree with Meg.
Your mom didn't even mention the 99 cent store at all. Its like you use the 99 cent store as an escape for happiness, sounds like an addiction.

No I do not use it for an escape. These clothes are name brands or even if they are not the clothes are gorgeous. And I would rather spend the 99 cents then go to a department store and spend a lot.

I strongly recommend you get help. You really seem like you've developed an obsession with this 99cent store, and it's taking over all of your thoughts.

What is more important to you--buying clothing at the 99cent store, or getting work? Your priorities are way out of whack.
