I am still out on if Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are separate beings or all in one, but I'm leaning toward three separate beings acting as one.

When I moved to where I live now, there were three LDS sisters that came at least once a week for about a year. They'd tell me about their religion and we'd talk. This is where I learned that they do not believe Jesus is part of the God head, but that He is only a good man, or a prophet.

Mormons and Christians are two different things.

Mormons believe that when they get to heaven they will be given there own plant and will be considered 'Gods'. They also believe that they have to work or earn there way into heaven. That's why there always going from door to door talking about there faith.

Christians believe that a savior (Jesus) was down to earth as a human (God in the flesh) to save humanity from there sins. In the Christian religion it states that man is so evil that there is not way that he can earn his way into heaven. And that's why Jesus came. To take are sins on his shoulders by dieing on the cross. So that everyone who excepts that Jesus is there saver with be considered free from sin and able to enter heaven.

Mormons is man trying to work his way into heaven.
Christianity is God reaching out from heaven to man.\

Hope I helped!!! : )

Mormans beleive Jesus Christ was a created being not as Baptist beleive that Jesus is:
1) the Son of God incarnate
2) God Himself who came to earth in the human form of Jesus (God the Father/God the Son/God the Holy Ghost)
...once you are saved (receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, asking for forgiveness of your sin) the Holy Spirit resides in you
...man is born in sin, God cannot even look upon sin...had he not sent Jesus to pay the price (sacrifice) for us, we would have zero chance to go to Heaven...only those who are saved will see Heaven...good person/good deeds will not get you there (ex: the thief on the cross who never did anything good, but what did he do when he was on his cross ?
...when Jesus said 'it is finished' the sacrifice for mankinds sins was paid...the only sacrifice in scripture He asks of us ,after receiving Him in our heart is... PRAISE...see it's not about you...it's about HIM

Everyone must decide for themselves: to either accept or reject Jesus (John 3:16)

To compare Morman/Baptist is too lengthy a task for here just hope I shed some light...God Bless You !!

Yeah, I guess their title: 'The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints.'

Is just a play on words... or false advertising...

My comment was satirical... directed towards certain people's unwillingness to ackowledge that LDS is in fact, a denomination of Christianity.

LDS do not believe Jesus Christ is with God from the beginning...they believe Jesus was a prophet, not God...

Jesus, in fact, is God in the flesh.

There are many other differences, too many to get into.

Some define Christian to mean a denomination that believes in the trinity.

Mormons do not believe in the trinity in the traditional Christian way. As I understand it Mormons believe that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are 3 separate entities with a single purpose. Traditional Christianity teaches that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are in fact one.

Considering that the trinity was not universal in Catholic churches until after the 4th century I have a hard time being that picky about it. To me any religion that follows the teachings of Jesus is a Christian religion. I do not see why the trinity should be a litmus test for being a Christian.

...and the dictionary agrees with you:

(((Christian)))
One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.

Allot of people think that us Mormons aren't Christian because they think that we don't believe in the bible and they also think that we're a cult that doesn't believe in just the bible.
I can tell you, I've been a member of the LDS church since December 30th of 2006 and confirmed on December 31 of 2006. I can say this, we do believe in the bible which is the King James version and, we believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and, other Christians can believe what they want, but, we don't believe in the Trinity. All Christians that belong in other churches believe the Heavenly Father, Jesus and the holy spirit are one individual but, here is our way of believing the godhead which is Heavenly Father, Jesus and the holy Ghost are three separate individuals. The holy Ghost is a witness and messenger to Heavenly Father Jesus stands on the right of Heavenly Father. When we're baptized, we receive the gift of the holy ghost which we strive as a friend, and guide to help us when in need.
We are christian and, people on the outside don't get it but, they have a right to believe in what they believe. At least, we don't have paid Clergymen.
Hope this helps.
