The color you chose to wear also depends on your skin tone, hair color, and the little flecks in your eyes..some people with brown eyes have more golden flecks in the brown and some people have green.
I think the color you chose should probably be based on what would look best considering all of thoses elements.

Have you seen that ALMAY stuff at walmart? well they have eyeshadow colors to match your eyes, they also have eyeliner, and mascara... for brown the colors are like a purple, and light browns, but I have brown eyes and I just wear eyeshadow to match my clothes, I don't know if your suppose to do that or not lol but it works for me, and I always get compliments!

A deep plum color looks great on most people with brown eyes. Also, I've seen some people wear a brown shadow and at the brow bown use a gold shadow and blend down into the brown. looks great! If you try the gold though, blend light...nothing too dark. it should be subtle and blend right into the brown. Also, try blending with your fingers. Always works better for me!
