Lip piercing

I want to pierce my lip right now . I just got a few questions. I have had the ring & needle sterlize over night & ill make sure my hands are clean.

1) is it possible to hit a vein ?
2) could I put a regular earring in till I get one
3) honestly ,...

on a scale from 1-10. Pain

I no the painwill feel a lot worse when you do it urself because you mite stop and start because of the pain! so im guessin it wil hurt way loadz! I tried piercing my lip an it hurt 2 much so I kinda went off the idea lol putting a regular earing may not work as a lip ring mayb fatter then an usual 1. an3 I havnt gota clue my fiend pierced her lip byself an she didnt hit a vein!

you cant hit a vein I dont think but I would advise not to do it yourself, I don't wear one anymore but I got it done about four years ago, and it hurt about 4/10
my friend did it herself and she said it hurt about 8-9/10
and hers went infected, even though her hands were clean and she sterilized everything, it went all red and bumpy and she said it was really sore, I'd definatly get it done properly.

My sis just pierced my lip with an earring gun...with the actual earring...if you take about 10 ice cubes...not at once...and numb your lip for about 35 minutes then pierce it the pain will actually be ZERO/10...thats what I did and after my sis pierced the earring through I didnt even know she did it...so know it doesnt hurt...you have to keep the ice on for about 10 minutes after that because it starts to burn a little it doesnt hurt though...2 bad I only kept mine in for a week because my mom made me take it out...ANYWAYS go ahead and pierce it with a earring gun it want get infected if you do what I said I did trust me...and no you cant hit a vein in your lip haha...and if you want to replace it after a while with a real one...well you cant...because the hole will be 2 small for an labret ring...or whatever its called...anyways you can still keep the earring in though it want get infected keep it in 4 about 6 months so it want close...

Uh no, first of all... a regular earring isn't the same size as a lip ring. Second... be smart and get it done by a professional. Also it will probley end up on an angle if you do it yourself, not a smart idea.

Depends on your pain tolerance.

do NOT do that. you have no idea how to peirce, your not a profeshional and judging by your questions you have no idea what your doing.
earring are for yor ears, they are completely different to a lip peircing. you cannot have that crap in your lip. its harmful to the lip and your gums, no matter how long you keep it in here for.
there is a very high change of infection, also getting it crooked. and yes you could hit a vein.
its also going to swell up a lot more than it would if getting it done normally. think 3+times the thickness of your lip for about 4 days...do you want that?!
just save up 50 bucks and get it done right...it your lip, its part of your face. do you want to screw up your face. if not then just wait. there are a lot of things involvd with a lip and any other peircing. and you clearly dont know anything about them. just get it done profesionally
