Itunes video playing choppy and slow.

I am getting a serious lag in the videos I download on my wife's laptop. The video on Itunes is playing choppy and slow. I tried disabling the microphone which didn't work. I adjusted the graphics driver, no luck. I reinstalled the program twice and...

that didn't work either. There is memory to spare and the cpu is barely taching when it plays, but the video won't stream. Any thoughts?

Have you tried playing the videos in another program other than iTunes, and do you still get the same problem? If so, the problem is with your computer or computer setup. If you don't get the same problem with another program, then your problem is with iTunes. Your wife's laptop is bound to have another video playing program already on there, whether it be something like Quicktime, or Windows Media Player (if its a PC).

Have you also noticed other problems with regards to playback and videos on the computer? For instance, can you watch videos on Youtube perfectly fine?
