Okay, first of all you may never be regulated. Second of all, it could be the type of birh control you are taking. Every type has a different level of hormones, some don't have a week of placebos, etc. I'd give it three months- if you are still experiencing heavy bleeding, clotting, and cramps I'd let the doctor know you aren't any better and that you'd like to try a different type of birth control. Good luck!

How long does it take for birth control to regulate you?
So I have been on birth control going on 4 weeks now.
It is my first time ever on birth control.
I got on it because of my periods were iregular and too much cramping and everything.
The doctor said I will experience spotting.
Well ever since I been...
on it, its been like spotting but not like he said.
One day it seemed like it was going to stop but it didnt.
Somedays its more than spotting, well its spotting but the blood is a lot more than a normal spotting.
So I am on the white week of pills now. This morning I didnt have a tampon in and I thought I would be ok. Well I lay out to go tan and then I got up 5 mins later, walk in the house to go to the bathroom.
Check my underwear and theres a lot of blood, and I am cramping really bad.
There was also this thing that looked like a huge blood clot which worried me.
How long months or what ever, does it take for birth control to work the right way and to really regulate your period without all this spotting and everything.
Its so annoying atleast my cramping isnt as bad as it use to be!
