Is wicca the same thing as witchcraft?

I saw a special called “My Unique Family” on TLC that showcased this family of Wiccans. The mom is a “priestess” and the son and daughter are both being raised Wiccan. Is Wicca the same as witchcraft?

No, my friend's mom is Wicca and I can't tell you much, but I do know that's it's not witchcraft. She believes in God and Christ and all, but she also believes in a higher power. I'm pretty sure Wiccans also believe in a Goddess. But you'd still benefit from doing more research.

Try going to wikipedia.com and type in Wicca. It gives a lot of info.

Wicca is a religion started by Gerald Gardner in the 50s. Witchcraft is a practice that's older than Christianity, that's much broader than Wicca.

Sometimes they go together, but not always.
