Is my tongue ring infected

I got my tongue pierced about two weeks ago...there isn't any swelling but its sore around the ring and at the bottom of my tongue is a white bump...it actually looks like a pimple...what do I do?

Do not worry!

The white bump is just dead skin cells gathering around the wound. Your wound is not healed yet and it is trying to protect it, but it can't because you have a bar through your wound.

It is most likely sore because you have been talking, eating and drinking. You probably have been playing with it too. Everyone does, even I do!

If it stays sore in about a week or so, seek medical help
