Is my new tongue piercing infected?

my tongue is swollen because I got it peirced yesterday... on the bottom It has this White kind of Mucusy Stuff Around the Barbell Is it infected?

Don't worry, it's normal. The white mucus stuff is part of the healing process, just keep it clean & gargle with some uniodined sea salt water. It should be swollen for a few days to a week (sometimes longer)

no, its normal. I have mines pierced too and I kinda freaked out too just keep using mouth wash. the healing depends on the person and how you take care of it. Everyone heales diffrently.

Midol will help with the swelling and the ookey stuff is normal. Do like everyone has suggested and keep rinsing with Listerine. The blue Listerine doesn't taste that bad,lol

My sister and my co-worker have it done and they said that it isnt bad becuase it just is the helaing process. My sister has had her done for about 3 years now and kind of still have the white ring on the bottom. I just got mine done on Monday and now I have it so it is ok. Just keep cleaning it.
