I picked the name jesi because I thought that meant the plural form of jesus. Am I right or is there really no such thing? Can I submit the word somewhere to be added to the dictionary?

There is no such word. You can't really pluralize a name of a person. Try to pluralize your name to see what I mean.

However, if a person's name becomes the representation of a group of people, then people tend to attempt pluralization, eg, people that are closely associated with the president tend to be called Bushies.

Yeah, it doesn't even make sense for Jesus to have a plural, because there was only one Jesus.

Yeah, I checked the baby name site for you. The closest you get with Jesi is Jessie which is a Diminutive form of Jessica or Jean and JIE which means pure. Jesus is a Form of Joshua and Joshua means God is salvation.

The one thing about names is you have a freedom to make up your own name. But I don't think you will get people to think JESI is plural for Jesus..

My given name is a made up name not listed in any baby book. My mom took the names of my two grandmothers amd made my name. A unique name is good sometimes but can be terrible most other times. I don't recommend it for your kids.

Jesus is a given name, for example among Hispanics. If you had more than one Jesus in a group, wouldn't they be Jesuses? Compare to, say, Peters or Johns or Maxes. But, as far as your own name goes, you get to do what you want. Just don't expect others to follow you. Not saying they will or won't, just don't expect it.

It is special to you, and reminds you of Jesus every time you say it.. so.. use it as you like...Its kinda like some people like to use a cross on a pendant, or a fish symble on a car... just as a reminder... I see no harm in it... It is your own expression.

Blessings...
