Is this site worth it?

Is this site worth all the arguements, fights, and insults? why can't people learn to debate intelligently? and do people really want the truth or just a sweet little answer that helps them feel good?

I'm on this site to ask peoples opinions on things I dont want my family or friends getting involved with. I think it is acually comforting to have a complete stranger give his or her opinion because they dont care. just look at my questions

this site is really based on opinions, and since different people have different opinions then I think that's why everyone argues. but I don't know, it doesn't seem worth the time to me.

yeah I also get the feeling that many people ask questions on here wanting to be told a "sweet little answer that helps them feel good" but also a lot of those people are teenagers so it is kind of to be expected. they just want to be told they are right lol.

That depends on the person asking for advice. I get in trouble all the time for telling the truth without being nice about it. Some people... correction... MOST people just can take blunt honesty from a stranger, without getting their 'feewings' hurt...

this site is definitely worth it, its good for teenagers who have questions but have no one else to turn to and so they can anonymously ask questions on here and receive responses, yes there are some people who can be nasty or arrogant but hey you don't have to listen to them.

I would say yes...its just human nature for people to get argumentatoive when sometthing doesnt go there way, or they hear something they dont want to hear, later on in life, theyll realise how trivial it was, but now, its something that they feel is important...
and as for the other questions...its hard to tell
most people want genuine help, helpful answers that push them in the right direction...but a lot of others justr want confirmation on something they already knew, or soemthing that makes them feel better, but isnt necessarily what they really needed to hear
again..its all part of being a kid, as its mostly the younger people who do this
but later on in life, theyll realise whats really important
I on the otherhand, love to give people advice, so I love this site
anything that allows me to help pout other people on anything they dont know or arnt sure about, is ok with me

I kind of find it funny that some of the most insulting comments I have seen come from an of advisor, hot into the politics...as far as advice goes, a lot of the questions are "poll" questions like "do you like miley ?" which begs for opinionated answers.when people ask advice questions, like "what should I do with my investments once McCain takes office?" (slight pun intended ) they usually get straight answers from people who have experienced that topic they are asking about. That is where I think this site is better served, and yes, becomes worth it. other times it just gets people throwing jabs back and forth...not worth it!

I like this site.. I havent seen Allot of aguring going around..
If it really bothers you ignor it. and talk to people who answer the way you want them to?

BIT OF BOTH REALLY...

This site is no different than any other when it comes to the fact that everybody is different, has different views on things, has different personalities and thoughts.
No matter where you go, people will always have disagreements and argue. Some are able to deal with differences better than others.
I would pick this site over many others, especially one in particular that has taken away people's rights to have an opinion and a little fun too. : )
