Is it possible to get shingles again?

Proof that my eyes are Blue Asked by metal 7 months ago, 5 answers.

Ok so for like a week I have had these red bumps that kinda itch and kinda hurt and I had shingles in 4th grade, so it has been like 4 years but. They stretch along my chest, shoulders, neck and upper portion of my back. I'm just wondering if I could...

have shingles again because I don't think I'm alergic to spider bites or anything.

Dear metal,
You wouldn't have shingles in the 4th grade. You may have had chicken pox. Shingles do not hit until you are older and they stem from chicken pox virus that remains dormant in the body till you are older. You can get a vaccine for shingles now that looks very promising. I think you need to see a doctor ASAP.
Sue...good luck
