Is it normal for your period to stop the 1st month of depo shot

I got my shot right after I had my period
and I havent had one
and I usely have started by now
its like a week late and the next month is about to start
I've been searching it and it says after a few shots your peroid can stop
but is it possible that...

my period stop just after one shot?
or do you think this could be a sign that im pergent
I've had sex 3 times sense the shot
please help!!

I think that is normal just wait a while depo effects everyone different if you have been on it a year it is suppose to be effective without for a yuear but some poeple it doesnt effect them as soon as there off it

it might mean your pergent ... but it also might only be a effect of the shot

if you get the shot you know you won't be able to have kids right? I knew this girl who got it and had no idea and so she had to adopt... it really sucks if you don't know but if you do then nevermind.

ok the person that wrote the comment before me is wrong. I was on Depo and that's wrong. My sister was also on it and she has a kid, and my friend too. anyways, when you're on Depo, it's normal NOT to have your period AT ALL because your body thinks you're pregnant.

what is that shot for? And why?
