He is not going to resurrect ... again... He did this one time, and that is it. He is however, going to come back to earth. He came the first time, as a lamb, to slaughter, but, this time, he is coming as a reigning king. He is also coming in judgement. Which is not going to be a day anyone wants to be unprepared for. He loves us, enough to die for us, but, he expects obedience. Look around you... do you see obedience to his will? Do you see things happening that would make him happy? When he comes will he say , Well done, my good and faithful servant, enter into the rest, that I have prepared for you... Or... will he say, depart from me, ye who do wickedness... I never knew you...

These words will be spoken... and the choice is yours. Surrender your heart to him, in sincerity and truth, asking for his forgiveness, of your sins. asking him to cleanse you, and make you ready for his appearance. Receiving his forgiveness, is the only way into heaven, according to his Holy word, the bible. WE are promised an eternity with him, if we receive him as Lord, and obey his commands.

Today is the day of salvation... we are not promised a tommorrow.

Blessings...

Jesus is not going to resurrect again. He did this one time. He is however, coming back to earth. He came the first time, as a lamb to slaughter, but, this time he is coming as a reigning king. He is also coming to judge the peoples & nations, of the earth. This is a day that we do not want to face, unprepared, and we do not know exactly when it is going to take place, however, we do know that it is drawing very close. The signs are all around. He told us to watch for certain things, and they are here.

There is only one way, that we can face him, and be confident at his appearing, and that is if we receive his forgiveness, now. The entire reason for him dying, is to bring redemption to us. We must acknowledge his sacrifice, and receive it unto ourselves, if we want to be pardoned. We have all sinned... and come short of his expectations of us. No sin is going to enter into heaven. We have to be cleansed. And we have to use the provision that he has made, which is himself. Nothing else will do. He is the way, the truth and the light, and he says that no one comes to the father, except thru him. This is what the Holy Bible lays out, and if you believe it, you need to act on it. If you need more information, please feel free to post again, or funmail me, or the other Christians on here, we will be very glad to help you.

Blessings...

Jesus presently sits at the right hand of God -

The first time He returns:

At a time only the Father knows Jesus will return in the clouds to recieve His own (those that have accepted Him as Lord and Savior/the church) - The rapture is an event that will take place sometime very possibly in the near future. Jesus will come in the air, catch up the Church from the earth, and then return to Heaven with the Church. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, we are given a clear description of the rapture: "the dead in Christ will rise, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord."

A dramatization of this event:

The last days are covered also in the book series 'Left Behind'.

The second time He returns:

The battle of Armageddon is a great, future war that will be fought at Mount Megiddo. This will be the most terrifying and destructive of all wars mankind will experience. The main difference between this and other wars is that the outcome is sure: we know who the winner is! This battle will be fought by men and by spiritual forces. Jesus Christ will return in the midst of this war to prove His power and might. He wins! He will judge the nations of the world and establish His kingdom.

See Revelation, chapter 16, where the preparation for the battle is described in verses 12-16. Read also, chapters 17-20. This “battle” is the final world war and it is more than just a physical war. All of the forces of good and evil will be fighting for power. Jesus wins, and then establishes His reign on earth for one thousand years - a new Heaven, new Earth reborn.

Going to resurrect himself or someone else? Because there's nothing in there about him resurrecting again. He's supposed to be alive, remember? Maybe you're referring to the Rapture.

Resurrect? Did He die again? Plus the Rapture is a concept of man. . . . . it is mentioned in no place in the Bible. It originated in the 1800's in U.S. . . . . .Along with the earthly reign of Christ. . . Mans concept. . . .You people really should study Biblical Greek and poetic language. . .

Because they are deluded...and probably still believe the Sun revolves around the Earth, as they did thousands of years ago when the Bible stories were all glued together.

Well, legion, I don't think you believe I'd argue that the sun revolves around the earth. (See my global warming posts for my respect for current scientific understanding.) But I do believe that Jesus is coming again. So where does that leave us?

jesus is already alive up there, he will come back to earth to judge the world with love and peace ,after the great battle '' Armageddon'', its mentioned in both the Quran and the Bible.

Flossheal, I explain that with the term "cognitive dissonance." It's something we all do rather well. Even the most rational of us can hold totally irrational beliefs. I've held some real doozies in my time. And even though I don't share your belief, I still find you to be a very intelligent and caring person. So I think that puts you and me as people who could be good friends even though we don't agree on everything. And isn't that where most of us lie?

Regarding the question, I think it would be good to reread what Rnealw said. A lot of these concepts come from human interpretation. There are some things in scripture that we really just don't understand.

As for Armageddon, Har Megiddo is a place where this battle is supposed to happen or have happened.

Yes, I'm very comfortable with mealw's assessment of the situation. I don't dwell much on Jesus' return, and certainly don't try to turn the symbolic language of Revelation into something for literal belief. The imagery is at turns bizarre, disturbing and incomprehsible, and needs a lot of study before it makes sense as it would have done to its original readers. For me the key thing is to serve Jesus now, and His return will happen in due course, without too much shock on my part!

And thanks very much for your kind words - I enjoy reading what you have to say, and I agree that similarity of opinions is not particularly important for friendship.

>>>Well, legion, I don't think you believe I'd argue that the sun revolves around the earth.

But back when the Bible was stuck together, a lot of the things we know as fact today, weren't even considered.
One guy(Galileo), tried to tell people what he thought was the truth about things, at this time in the 15th century the Church still believed what Aristotle(378-322 BC) was saying about the solar system/universe, that the Earth was the centre of the universe. Over hundreds of years these views have changed, but not without quite a bit of resistance from the Church. You could be locked up or even killed for speaking of such strange ideas. Hence my disbelief for most things written by humans in a book thousands of years old.
