Sorry Katwoman, that is a common misconception but it is incorrect.
Penetration is merely one form of sex commonally known as sexual intercourse.

Oral sex is just one of many other forms of sex and sexual activity.

I always thought that 'Making out' meant kissing and cuddling as well kayciemarie2010.

However, I dont want to commit to this one as it is more of an American phrase and is not used so much here in Britain.

Same with the different bases, this is also not so common in Britain.

If you mean making out as in kissing, then no you didn't have sex. Sex is when the pen*s enters the vagina. Sexual activity can also consist of oral or anal sex( mouth to genitals or pen*s in anus) BE CAREFUL! You can catch STDs when doing any of these.
