Well, I hope so. Its clear that terrorism has soared in the last 6 years, and has been steadily increasing since the mid to late 90's.
What causes terrorism really? We see terrorism not only in the muslim world but in Ireland, the spanish ETA and other places. Really though, muslim terrorism (jihad) seems to be the one that is most frequent and most on the rise.
If you take the Middle East as an example, around a decade ago when it looked like the middle east was going to become peaceful, there were almost no attacks on Israel by the Palestinians.
To be honest though, and I may get pounded for this, the concept of "Fatwah" and "Jihad" definintely is a problem, since they provide an outlet for aggression for any wrongs done to groups in that religion.
And it does not help that half of the population (women) are disenfranchised either in most Muslim countries.
Having said all of that though, my personal experience meeting muslims is that 99.9% are as you say "peace-loving". As the president says (and he's right to my horror :-) ), people everywhere want peace and prosperity. They want the same things that we want.. a good home, decent jobs, education for their children, and the ability to trade and communicate with the rest of the world.
Once we (and they) realise that, then its no longer "us" and "them", but just "us".
NO, I do not believe it is temporary, I believe it will continue and escalate until Jesus comes back. I do not believe it will decrease, I believe it will increase. The radicals want to rule the world, and the will stop at nothing. Our leaders, whom ever they are, need all our support and prayers to be able to stand against this...
God bless...

Is the flare up of radical islam a temporary response?
Do you believe that the flare up of radical Islam is a temporary response to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, if not for that they would be 'peace-loving' ?
