in my opinion yes
becauuse no matter what way you look at it, it ends up as the same reason
...
if its half full
you life is half complete (weather it be wasted or not)
but you have half your life left to live
...
if its half empty
youve completed half of it (weather youve wasted it or not)
but still have the other half to live
