Is funadvice working faster now?

Jeremy Goodrich yep, that's me Asked by thedude 11 months ago, 8 answers.

I had an email asking why the site was down, and thought I'd post it where more people could see. We migrated servers again yesterday (second time in less than 4 months) because we simply were getting too much traffic for the one server setup we had. So...

now we have two, and both of them are larger, faster and more powerful than the old one.

Is the site working better or faster for you? And if you notice any bugs, please let us know. Thanks!

Ah, there was one other issue:

for some reason, we'd had an engineer include our javascript & css files on each page, twice. So as a result, there was (for the first page load, on an empty cache) about 180K extra weight that was being downloaded.

From what some people have mentioned, due to faulty DNS propagation, our site isn't coming up for them yet.

Captain, overall though, is the site faster? It should be, from our reports via server monitoring, be much faster than it was any time in the last 6 months or so.

Thanks, all, it's sincerely appreciated to hear some answers on this one

Performance is a key issue for us...personally, I hate it when it gets slow. Feel free to shout if it ever isn't as fast as you'd like.
