Is blair witch project good or just hype?

As the question says above, I haven't seen it yet, and as a horror fan, am trying to decide whether it's worth watching.

I didn't like it, but lots of others did. I found it quite boring.

it was a steamin great pile of skid-marked, pubic hair ridden pants!

however, I enjoyed BW2!

I liked the movie. Then again, I get frightened easily. ^_^ It's more under "suspense" than anything else.

ya, it wasn't scary. I love scary movies and that one was just dumb. Just my opinion. Lots of my friends loved it. It's worth seeing just to say you saw it.

My mom and I heard the hype about it and decided to watch...it was shittty excuse for a movie, done in the handheld kind of camera way. The type of movies I hate. The ending was stupid too, the whole thing was. It's not worth your time.

When I first saw it I honestly thought it could have been real until the credits roled, and what was supposed to be scary in that film were the elements that you couldn't see visually, kinda makes your mind work in overdrive, but like dawnathen (and so very well put by sootica) it would be worth seeing for it's originality if for nothing more than to say you saw it.

...not really scary for me, because I dont get scared easily
but I think it was worth something
...it does have a pretty origional storyline anyway!

I thought it was pretty lame - but some people enjoyed it so watch it anyways
