Is being single a bad thing?

Why do people insist that because I am not in a committed relationship, and am not looking for one, there must be something wrong with me or that I'm lying when I tell them that I'm happy. Is it that weird to be happy and single?

I get the from my friends all the time... I dunno, most people want to be with someone else so bad (or they're just happy not being alone) that they dont understand why anyone else would be alone... that or they're miserable in relationships and want you to be too
ignore them, you're happy, so who cares?

ummm no being single is so cool, like because you dont have to worry about gettin your heart broken or like thinking if your mate is doing something that you dont know

NO! It is certainly not a bad thing. Being in a relationship can be great but it means compromises and sacrifice. You are young!! Enjoy your single days. Be proud and be proud of it! Kudos to you

Thats a good thing, it means you are self sufficient and happy. I am single and happy, and I get people asking me why I haven't found a man. It's not easy you know? But just because I haven't found some one doesn't mean I'm incomplete.

I personally think being single is better...not all the time but then when a really good guy comes along and if you say yes then hes special! lol just kidding but I think I get a lot more guys asking me out and all because I like being single

Coming form a guy. Wanting to be single is a lot more attractive. A) it means you have a sense of yourself. You're confident and have a personality B) it means you like to have fun and wont put up with anything and that isnt C) You're a challenge. Any guy can get a girl who flings herself at his feet, it takes someone specail to earn a spot next to a girl who isn't looking for a relationship. And guys like challenges. Remember you are single by choice not buy situation
