Is the beard becoming a symbol of terrorism?

Is beard becoming a symbol of islamic terrorism? How do you view a person with beard post 9/11 and before?

Well I have a beard, and let me make it clear to all Homeland Security personnel that may be perusing this website that I love America, the Consitution and the Statue of Liberty.

Having said that, I think the turban was more of a cause of many hate crimes following 9/11. Many Sikhs wear turbans, but since some Americans associate turbans with only Islam, those Sikhs were the target of some pretty nasty beatings and vandalism. I still think a person wearing a turban will get strange looks especially at the airport.

And I wouldnt call it a symbol, they just use it as a tool for profiling people at airports...
