Is the ipod touch any good?

is it any good and are they like mega expensive

the normal ipod have 80G and 160G...why does the new ipod touch only have 16G?

An iPod Touch is really the most expensive kind of iPod. There are currently two types - an 8Gb version for US$299, and a 16Gb version for US$399. An iPod Touch is a bit more that you're average iPod - not only is it the best iPod to view movies on, but it also has wireless internet access, so you can watch Youtube video's on it and also surf the web. It's recently got a software update, which now allows you to find your location on a map, send and recieve emails, and also a few widgets which can ell you for instance what the weather forecast is. You can't do any of that on the normal iPod's.

One way the iPod Touch has been described is like an iPhone without the Phone. Personally, I wouldn't buy the iPhone, but if I was to buy an iPod the iPod Touch would be at the top of my list.

Canada - the Apple Store lists the 8Gb iPod Touch as being CA$319, and the 16Gb CA$419. If wester_wildcats can get the 16Gb for CA$320, she'll make a fortune selling them off at a profit.

UK - 8Gb, £199.00, 16Gb, £269.00.

You can buy games for the iPod Touch from iTunes, and soon Apple will be releasing a Software Developers Kit for both the iPhone and iPod Touch. What that will mean is that there will be a huge selection of games to choose from by the end of the year most likely, much much more than will ever be found on the other iPod's.

And for crystal - the iPod Touch only has 16Gb because it uses a type of storage called flash memory, which is the same type used in USB pen drives and has no moving parts, plus uses less power. It is however more expensive than the hard-drive (a mechanical disk) based storage used in the 80Gb & 160Gb iPod Classic's, but if you drop an iPod Classic it is more prone to being screwed up than an iPod Touch.

mine was $400 and its really cool.

mine was about $20 less than $400, so $380(in the US) but thats only because it was without the other programs that aren't included, if I wanted the other programs, then I could download it onto my iPod for $20.

Its great, I love it. I had problems registering it at first, but after my aunt did all that for me I had no problems. but even though the iphone is more expensive, it has a lot better features than the iPod touch. I would suggest getting that, if you need a new phone, and if you want the extra programs that the IPod touch doesn't have to come with it.

To crystal1987, it costs less because Canada's currency is worth less than The United States.
