Imac is going to be the death of me!

Just got an imac, Been trying for days to burn a dvd to the computer to edit but I really cant do it!! Its DVD-RW which has a recording from a camcorder. Please help

what type of mac did you get? because the least expensive ones cannot burn dvds. answer back, I have a mac too and can probably help
