Hey now, how about instead of going from totally invisible to completely noticable, we find a happy middle.

Being athletic is going to get you noticed no matter what you do. Especially if you are skilled. But it is your abilities being noticed, not your girly body and you should be proud of your talents. If you are complimented on a play or move, simply say, "thank you". That's all it takes. Dont' let anyone read any more into that. You are proud of what you can do and grateful for being noticed but that is as far as it goes.

Now, you cannot stop physical attraction. We notice someone first by sight. That is just the way it is. When a boy compliments you, don't lower your head and giggle or say you disagree with the compliment. Take it with grace. This is very important for not just you, but all of us women. Men don't really like it when women repsond to flattering statements with negative responses. It is a turn off. If a guy tell you he thinks you are pretty, he doesn't want to hear you say, "No I'm not. I just got out of bed today and this what I looked like."
Decide your boundaries now before school starts. If you get comments like, "You really blossamed over the summer, you are HOT!" DON"T say, "I know, I am trying to hide it."
You say thank you. Don't say anything else. This sends the message immediatley that although you are thankful for the kind words, you are not interested in anything else. The moment you go beyond the simple thank you, you open the door for that unwanted attention. You don't want to be thought of as rude, just not interested. The message will soon get out. After a short time in school, if you stop all attention at the start by being polite and simple, it will taper off. You don't have to say it, but your signals can be sent that you don't want attention based on your looks alone.
Not all of it is going to go away, though. You can't help that. Appreciate what you have. It is ok to be pretty. And some guys think shy girls are kind of cute, too. You will figure it out! Just concetrate on what you want to do and the boys will soon get the hint that you are not impressed by the constant attention. You are looking for something more meaningful in time.
Good luck. Keep me updated when school starts.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.
I used to be very tough and I used to play football and stuff around my neighborhood with guys and I used to kick their asses haha. & its fun.
& I grew up and became girly too.
but see, there is NOTHING wrong with being girly at all.
you should be happy that you're getting attention.
most girls willl probably be so jealous of you now.
there's nothing wrong with that.
work it girlll. show'em whatchu got.
srssly thoughh, be yourself even if you want to be girly.
you can still kick the guys asses.
I still do, & they still think I'm hot.
you can be hot and tough at the same time.
it's even MORE attractive.
anymore advice, let me know.
