Awww, I'm so sorry. Both my dad and my step dad have died. I know it's not the same. I don't know what it is like to lose a mom, but I do know what it is like to lose a parent. It is not wrong to wish to trade places with her. That is human nature for a child/parent relationship to want to take her place and keep her from pain or from worry about the unknown. God can heal, pray a lot and I will pray for you too.
On a side note: Please do not be upset with God if this does not turn out the way we hope it will. There is a reason for everything, and one day we will know what it is. I wish I could say more to ease your pain, but for now I will just say Peace be with you.
hugs,
Kimmie
No It's Not Wrong.I Used To Wish It Was Me On My Pappy's Death bed...It's Always Really Hard To See Anyone On Their Death Bed.But I Think It's Her Time.I Couldnt Look At My Pappy Because I Was Really Close To Him..But Anyway Spend Time With Her..
I Never Got To Say Bye.I Look Back And Regret It..It's Almost Been A Year.
it shows what a wonderful caring person you have become no doubt because of your mothers teachings and advice and I am sure if it was you that your mother would be willing to take your place as well,if your mother should go to heaven just know she will be in a glorious place and that we are the ones that have to deal with the pain of loss because those that have passed on feel nothing but peace. that is my opinion anyway. God Bless you and your mother I will say a prayer for you.
It is a very natural thing to wish to trade places with someone you love so much when something bad happens. I personally do not think it is something that is wrong to wish for - to feel like that to me says you love your Mom very much, and that's something which cannot be wrong, ever. I'm very sorry to hear about your Mom, I'm sure this is a very tough time for you and the rest of your family. I'm sure you'll have plenty of friends and family who will be able to help you with the tough time you are experiencing, but just remember we're here on this site to help too if you need us, even if its just someone to confide in
It's not wrong, I agree with much of what has already been said here.
I also believe that death isn't the end, but a beginning of something we have no way to comprehend or understand. My mom was visited by my fathers mom when she died, she told her that everything is ok, and not to worry about things...my mom was very close to my grandmother, and quite upset when she died. I realize this probably doesn't help much because you'd prefer your mom wasn't dying...but it's something to think about anyway. Make her proud by doing something special with your life...I'm sure that's what she would want. Take Care...
Its totally normal how your feeling, I cant say I've ever been in that possition and I hope I never am, but Just appreciate the time you have create loads of happy memories that will stay with both of you forever.
She'll always love you and be with you wherever you both are
My Thoughts are with all your family and friends
