Am I pregnant if I missed my period?

If I missed mah pd for the month am I pregnant ?! - this never happened before..

advice please.

If you are sexual active and you have missed a period then there is a good chance you are pregnant.
If I were you I would go get a test and take it.

but im kinda scared to go to the doctors ; my mom [ grandmom thinks im having sex ; but I tell her im not] & I know I am .. I just am skared to go to the doctors kause they will want to contact my parentsx and all you know.

You don't have much of a choice dear. You need to go so you can start on prenatile vitimans and see an OB/GYN if you are pregnant.

if I take a test at home and its pos. what should I do then?!

if its positive, make an appt. at the ob/gyn as soon as you can.

Get a home pregnancy test kit from any drug store and follow directions. If positive, go to your doctor or a health clinic, or Planned Parenthood. You can also call Planned Parenthood at (703) 385-3404‎ (Fairfax) to talk to someone there. If you are pregnant, it's NOT going to just go away. You will need the support of your family, or grandmother or older sister or someone. And you will have some hard choices to make.

p.p.s. a doctor will not automatically talk to your parents. In fact, if you weren't a minor, it would be illegal for him to tell them (a federal law known as HIPAA)

at the planned parenthood ; will they contact my parent??

if you had sex then probably yes. but if you havent had sex, then no and you may have a weird pattern period
