I'm being called a fake for being who I am

so,,I love to tan and get my hair done..im basicly always called barbie at school but I hate it im really nice im not a bad person and I dont want to be called fake but this is who I am what should I do!!!

I think your tan is too dark, and it causes accelerated aging; especially in the face. But that's beside the point.

When someone calls you 'fake' in this case, its synonymous to being called 'plastic' a.k.a. your physical appearance requires too much maintenence (tanning, hair color, extensions, makeup, nails, contact lenses, etc.)

Surely there's more to you than just tanning and hair... right? You need to place emphasis on more than just those physical attributes. But regardless of what you do or how you look, people will STILL label you... its part of life...

P.S. - Just out of curiosity, are you self-consious about your teeth?

stop tanning because it is fake go lay in the sun

tan in the sun. then people cant call you fake for using beds.
and nothing wrong with getting your hair done, guys like it lol.

Are you tanning naturally, or with some kind of spray on stuff?

I don't know if the sprays are harmful (probably not but it does probably go through your skin to your system).and I think the word is still out on tanning beds but we know that too much sun can cause skin Cancer later on in life. Why don't you try just being yourself?

Having your hair done is just part of grooming.

artificial tanning is harmful...well anything fake is harmful. why don't you try laying in the sun to get a more natural look? 1st off it looks better, 2ndly its better for your skin as well :D

I know that tanning it bad but im a black girl with a lot of white friends who go tanning a lot I think it ok just dont do it to much to where you look like a ommpa loommpa...but just tell people YOU JUST DO YOU AND IMA DO ME...
