How can my band find a bass player and vocalist?

My band has been together for a while and we're lacking a bass player and a lead vocalist.we're ready to step out band up and get going. we've put out flyers and called around here and there. but we dont know what else to do, so if anybody at all has...

Music stores (Guitar Center, etc.) often have bulletin boards where you can post want ads...
