That sounds like a good plan, actually. Perhaps hide the stuff they are supposed to find at local businesses, so that when you write it up & promote the event on local radio, print publications, etc, the sponsors get a write up & perhaps some pictorial coverage as well.

Ideas for a scavenger hunt
It sounds a bit hokey, but it is something we are doing for charity and the small group of fellow philanthropists and I are racking our brains to figure out a good event to raise money and involve the community. Someone suggested a scavenger hunt where...
we split up the children we are working with and volunteers in the community and hunt for things across town. Sounds like a good idea but we are all having a bit of creative blockage. Anybody think of any ideas to help some kids have fun and make some money to help with their medical bills?
