I would like to choose a best answer

That's a good question, as I would like to know myself. From what I've seen so far, You can rate questions as helpful or not, but there doesn't seem to be a way of picking a best answer, per se. On the other hand, if rating an answer as helpful is equivalent to picking a best answer, that is pretty cool, since in effect, you can pick up to 3 best answers per question instead of just one. There are often times when more than one answer is very helpful or informative.

Under every answer you'll see:
"Did you find this answer helpful? Yes, No, Report abuse [ Edit | Delete ]"

If it was helpful you click "Yes" and if not you click "No", you get to rate 3 answers per question.

They tried to switch it to one best answer but no one liked that system very much so they reverted...

Now if you only want one best answer it is simple, only rate one...

Yeah, if you feel comfortable with rating 1 answer as a best answer, then you can do that.
It's pretty cool to rate 3 best answers instead of 1.
