Okay, doll.
Here it is, as best as I can do.
Itd really help If I knew the length of your hair, and the specific style you were going for.
Well, first I straighten my hair, all of it section by section. Make sure you get the upper part of your hair cut into a variety of very short layers. Keep your bottom layers, under the top very long as stick straight. Its not neccesarry to have the top poof as straight as the longer layers. Also get either horizontal bangs [kate moss] and wisps, or asymettrical bangs, the common emo look. Keep the bangs very straight as well. Before you straighten your hair use some Motions Lotions to keep the hair less damaged. Also buy some BedHead hair stuff, each of these can be found at Walmart. The motions lotion is in a pink bottle, the BedHead in a little blue thing with a metallike cap. Then get the mousse stuff on your hands, not too much and put it all throughout the poof. Make sure not to glob it, and rub it in or else it will look nasty. Get your comb and comb the parts near your part backwards, also called teasing. Keep spraying your hair like theres no tommorrow if you plan on this staying. After its properly poofed put hairspray on the really straight parts as well. If you really want to go full out 'scene' buy some coontail extensions and a big bow for your hair.
I hope this helps, if you have any questions. Comment me<333

therell be lots of products at your mall, priceline, ect that will help
theres also a lot of straightening creamd and stuff specialized for keeping hair straight...
look around
scene hair is all about backcombing
which you can learn all about and how to do on youtube
but keep in mind majority of the photoes and people you will see are photoshoped
they dont look that "flawless" in real life
everything from skin, makeup, hair colour, eyes, size,EVERYTHING can be photoshopped

what you need to do is just get your hair thinned.. that will help it not be as poofy. and if your wanting scene hair get layers on the crown of your head. if you want long layers then get them about 4 inches as the starting layer..if you want short layers..start the top layer at about 2 or 3 inches. then also get razored by the hair that lays on your cheaks so that wont poof up by your face.I hope that helped with boh of your questions..just like print this out and show it to your hair stylist..and I think if shes good she will know what to do :]

okay well if you keep the top shorter it will help. for my hair I take a comb and I tease it all out in different sections and I straighten the bottom I add massive amounts of hair spray to the top. just spray the roots though and then the rest, then take a brush and tease it...keep the bottom straight
