I want a baby at 18

hello im almost 18 years of age and me and my recent boyfriend are both getting very broody looking inside baby shops and were thinking of trying for a baby.
im pretty scared as I lost my son at 21 weeks pregnant he was born and fought for his life for...

I am sorry for your loss! I lost a baby from sids when he was 4 months old so I know how you felt. I would speak with your doctor about another pregnancy. I have had another child since my son passed and he has been fine. The doctors had him on a heart monitor to make sure he did not stop breathing so they may have you on bed rest or on medicine that will keep you from going into labor early. Just give your doc a call and see what he/she has to say.

I think that you are to young I have two kids and am 30 and I love them with everything I've got but it is the biggest life changing thing you will ever do, you can not understand how much until you have done it.I remember when I was 18 I felt ready and could have easily had a baby thinking I knew everything but looking back now I am so glad that I didn't you have plenty of time do all the things you want to do for yorself first you will enjoy it more. I was still quite young 21 when I had my first and I kinda wish I had waited...

I was 18 when I had my first and I agree with slug that it is hard but I am 22 now and I have two and I love them so much! It is hard but I could not see my life without them. I am blessed with a great husband and I don't have to work so that makes things easier for me. I will tell you to think things through before you act but in the end it is your choice and you are going to do what you want to do. So good luck and God bless!

First I want to give my condolences (sp?) for your loss!! But at the same time YES it's so nice looking at the cute baby clothes, toys, etc but it's REALLY not as easy as you think!!! It's a lifetime job...babies stay up all night crying sometimes.. wait til you're finally asleep then wake up hungry... Do you or your boyfriend have a job? car? house? Is this a committed relationship? I would definitely say WAIT if you answered NO to any of those questions!!! babies are expensive and at times HARD to deal with, they can actually ruin a relationship especially since you 2 are still young and not married.. are you living together?? Well good luck, I hope you make the right decision!!

baby at 18? what are you thinking you should wait till your 21!!! besides maybe baby clothes and other stuffs prices will go down by then
