I think my school is racist

Im not racist but I think my school is, my school has the majority of hispanics and blacks and all the time I always c them hanging with their clique of the SAME race. A few hang w/ other black people too. oh and the school ONLY teaches Spanish as a 2nd...

language and the first 2 letters of the school name is "PR" for puerto rican.

But if the people in my school ARE racist they are STUPID because they are part-BLACK!

black people hang out with black people and same with mexicans...its like that in most schools

It's human nature to hang with people who are similar to you, have you heard the phrase birds of a feather flock together? People fear others who are different too, it's a way of separating yourself from the rest of humanity making people who aren't like you seem less then human so it's easy to commit atrocities. Just look at what Nazi Germany did to the Jews. Or how the white settlers treated the American Indians or Black slaves. I don't think people intend to be racist, it's built into our ego's and psyche to act this way separating ourselves from others. Although I'm sure some are racist because it's how they were raised or they're just mean spirited in general. I wouldn't consider the fact that the Spanish speaking kids hang with other Spanish speaking kids or Black kids with other Black kids as being racist. It's just easier for them to identify with and less frightening than to open your mind and heart push the boundaries and taste a little culture shock. People are timid by nature and often stupid is well, thats why I call them Sheeple sometimes. Or even Lemmings. Hope this clears things up a bit. Sociology can be a very interesting subject when studied.

well I live in tennessee I am not racist at all but we but the school that I go to is red neck and they aint nuttin but rebels up in here but we have 1 black teacher and no black students...so if you have quite a bit of black people then your school isnt really racist...you could tell if you school was like really racist.
