Amy, I'm in the same boat. I am about 5'7 and I 24 pounds. 26 inch waist but I still feel kinda flabby. I used to work out regularly and since I stopped I have just noticed that my body changed.
Our body is constantly changing - ofcourse you are not fat and based on what your size is you must actually be skinny. I would just suggest working out lightly or something and maybe your body would just look healthier. Please do not think that you are fat or anything like that because those types of poor body images can lead to eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. Don't put yourself through that; just try to live a healthy lifestyle and start to love that girl staring back at you in the mirror.
My advice for you is to not think of anything negative about yourself such as "I'm fat" focus on some of the things you like about your body. If you really can't get over the size of yourself, then do more working out and stay healthy. Do what you need to do to stay positive, but remember there is a line between healthy and not.
(You do not want to hurt yourself by being underweight and unhealthy just to feel skinny - It isn't worth it.)
Your not fat ...maybe you see too many ads on TV/Magazines about being fat...try finding a pair of pants at Walmart...they don't carry sizes 1-2...and I am trying to get a size 4 petite... everything is for bigger people even taller...and I am not going to wear Jr sizes...the styles are faddish... I would suggest some weight training...helps tone up the muscles and thats what I think your needing...I think I'll listen to my own advice...
There is no way that someone with a size of 1-2 could be fat or even average, you are extremely slim. If you feel that a fear of being fat or gaining weight is taking over your life and causing you real real depression it is probably a good idea to consider going to a doctor and explaining that you think you may have an eating disorder. It sounds dramatic but it is best to be sure that you do not before it controls your life and puts you in danger.
