ya I had the same prolem, don't let it build up. You should act on your feelings while you still can. see I waited to long, and the girl said that we were to close. And don't tell her you love her yet man, that wouldn't be good.

You might not be in love with her properly, just cause shes your best friend you might like her so much as a friend that you like her in like a friendway. If you really do love her then you should just tell her, if shes your best friend its probably likely she'll like you too. If not she'll still be flattered and realise that she does XD
