Is canon powershot a520 a manual camera?

Me :] Asked by peaceoutmyhead about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I'm planning ahead for my junior year in high school and want to take photography as my elective choice once I get out of required classes. I was reading in the art conservatory section of the school website and it said that to take Beginner/Advanced...

Photography a 35mm manual camera is required. I checked up on the Canon website and it said that PowerShot A520 is 35mm compatible, but I don't know if it's manual.

it is not manual it is digital
I am assuming your Manual camera also requires film that can be developed in a chemical development lab
I think Minolta still offers 35mm manual cameras check their website

It isn't manual, nor is it a 35mm camera. What they're getting at is something like a Pentax K1000; completely manual and a 35mm camera.

This camera has been widely regarded as one of the best cameras to learn on for the past 30 years.
