Should I take up saxophone full time?

Thunder Robot Asked by funadvice about 1 year ago, 4 answers.

I'm not sure what my future carreer should be. I am studying for a doctors in phychology. But because I need money, I play the saxophone at bars, resturants ect.
I have had offers by people for a full time job such as an entertainer, instuructor, and...

other stuff. Should I take up sax full time or just use it as a money-maker as I am now.

I think if you really want to be a doctor or watever then you should go for it and the sax can be your money maker but if you like the sax and the other jobs you could be all

Stick with your degree - opens doors/leads to better pay - getting paid for what you know, not what you do - use sax to pay the bills till then...Good luck !!

Yeah, definately don't make the sax a full time thing... it could become a lifetime thing before long! You should go for the degree and you will realize you made the right decision once it starts to pay off in the future! Remember to study! Good luck!
