Will a full size bed fit in my bedroom?

OK SO I AM GETTING NEW BEDROOM FURNITURE FOR MY ROOM AND IT IS SMALL..8.5 FEET BY 8.5 FEET. AND I really want to GET A FULL SIZE BED BUT MY MOM SAYS IT WONT FIT..I AM PLANING TO GET A NARROW/TALL DRESSER AND A FULL SIZE BED BUT I don't know IF IT WOULD BE TOO...

CRAMPED..THIS IS HARD BUT I WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN THE WAY MY ROOM LOOKS. SO IF YOU WALK IN THE DOOR THERE IS A WINDOW ON THE OPPISIDE WALL AND DIAGONAL FROM THE DOOR..THE WALL ON THE LEFT OF THE DOOR THERE IS MY CLOSET SET AT THE END OF THE WALL..THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DOOR IS NOT OCCUPIED BY ANYTHING.(MY DOOR'S PLACEMENT ON THE WALL IS ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT ON THE WALL) LOL I AM BAD AT EXPLAINING SO PLEASE help ME!!I don't know WHAT TO DO..

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design..so I drafted your bedroom on my computer. Without any other furniture, the head of the bed will fit along the righthand wall, with space on either side. However, and it's an Interior Design no-no, you COULD put the bed on the wall opposite the door (under the window) with one side up against the righthand wall (up against the wall is the no-no part)..you COULD have room for a dresser if you do it that way. Either way you do it though, it's going to be a tight fit. A full size bed is 54" wide (4.5 feet) by 75" long (lil over 6 feet). The futon choice would be good if you want the full size bed but also room to hang out and move around. That way, you could put the futon on the wall across from the door with a nightstand/endtable on each side of it, maybe a lil coffee table (which you can move when you are going to bed) and the dresser with a tv on the wall with the door. A cute little area rug would also be a nice touch. Hope this helps!!

I don't think I would try to put a full size bed in a room that is 8.5 x 8.5. We have a room that is a little bigger than that and it seems cramped with a twin bed, dresser and very small tv stand. I looked up the measurements of a full size bed for you: about 4.5 feet by 6.25 feet. Maybe something with the dresser drawers underneath, but, you would only be able to access on side and the foot of the bed would be very difficult to get to.

What about a fold out couch, day bed, or futon?
