How to style shorter hair?

I have no clue how to style it.
I cutt it short layers in the back and long strand in the front but how do I style it???

If you are familiar with mariska Hargitay's current hair style, you can do that.

I just looked at it online and mine is a little longer.
its almost just how it is in the pic I kinds want to make a hump in the back but I have no clue how to.

It looks really good there. Find a great picture on the internet of how you want it and bring it to the hair place and they will do it for you!

Just bring the picture into a hair place and they can do it.
Bring it somewhere with a good name. Like supecuts or something well-known like that.

try scrunching it. if you have naturally very straight hair this might help. if not then I would straighten it and the take a curling iron and take the very ends of it and curl them a little, not cork screws. it might poke out a little at first but it should lay flatter like that pretty soon.
