when you get your period your body is shedding the inner lining of your womb. and you need that part of your womb to have children. sometimes when your first starting out getting your period it does weird things and skips then goes. once I didnt get my period for 3 months! and I wasnt sexually active at that time. weird stuff happens sometimes. but if you are sexually active now just to make sure go take a pregnancy test at the nearest drug store. better safe than sorry. hope this helped!

But im 17 and I've had my period since I was like 12. Does this still happen even though I've had it that long?

Actually I had a light period when I was pregnant. It is very common in the begining stages of pregnancy. Take an at home prego test to ease your mind

Im taking one whenever this either period or bleeding goes away.
I've been really tired lately, nauseous, and my backs been hurting, and my boyfriend says I've been having 'mood swings' lately, which is what led me to thinkin I was prego. I dont have tender or swollen breasts though. Are there any other symptoms that could tell me if I could or couldnt be prego?

The only thing that will tell you for sure is a test. Symptoms that you are experiencing are most likely cause by changes in your hormones. There isn't a way to know whether that is from PMS or pregnancy. If I were in your shoes, I would assume that I was pregnant until I got that definative 'No', ie avoid caffiene, tobacco, alcohol, etc.
