Coughing really hard all night long is normal?

Okay so some of you have been giving me advice when it came to my tonsillectimy and after the surgery. Can you tell me if coughing really hard all night long is normal? Because I cant stop and its driving me and my family crazy.

Is there some sort of infection in your throat? Sounds like something is running down your throat when you lay down and thats whats causing the cough. I f it were me I would have a check up because you are still in a lot of pain too arnt you?

yeah I am. but the surgeon I had said it could take up to a week for me to feel normal again. and everyday its kinda getting better. and it still sucks to take the meds I was given.
