They say you can take vitamins and whatnot. But I have never found them in all my years as a hairstylist to make a bit of difference. Just enjoy your short hair, make the best you can of it. It will be back to a reasonable length in a few months.

Once it gets to your shoulders, you can buy these fun clip on hair extensions at Sally's for about $70.00 a pack. You can give yourself some big, loose waves and curl the extenstions, and clip them in for certain nights when you want a boost. They look kind of funny straight, they don't blend in with your real hair all that well. But when waved, they blend right in and no one will know the difference! They're a lot of fun!

I just cut all my hair off recently, too. Sometimes when I find myself regretting my decision, I just stop looking at all the celebrity magazines and whatnot and I feel better. All that long, wavy hair everywhere makes you feel like you should have it, too. Short hair is cute, just work it!

you can't make your hair grow at a faster rate but you can keep it from breaking which many people mistake for slow hair growth..I myself have tried most products

Yes, you can grow your hair faster. This does not mean SUPER fast growth..you have got to be patient my friend. But, you can help speed up the rate, despite all the rant and ravings about genetics, trimming, etc.

1) The reality is most people don't eat right, sleep right, live right, or take care of their hair to even ever experience their optimal level of hair growth. Most people are deficient in vitamins, because of our current lifestyles and overly processed foods. Most people are damaging their hair or stunting their hair growth because they are using cheap or expensive hair damaging hair care products that contain sulfates and silicones that take away natural oils from the hair..what it needs to grow.

2) With that being said..assess yourself. Are you taking a multivitamin? Do you eat 4-6 ounces of protein at EVERY meal? Are you low in Iron, Zinc, or Vitamin E and C? Do you sleep enough? Are you drinking alcohol or eating sweets that dehydrate your body?
Are you using unnatural hair care products? Do you have chemicals on your hair life hair dyes? If so, make a switch. Try to take at least a Fish Oil tablet and multivitamin. Switch to all natural hair care products like Burt Bees, Beauty 4 Ashes, or Aubrey Organics. Beauty 4 Ashes even makes a hair growth stimulating shampoo that truly works. It is called A Double Portion.

3) Don't believe the hair industry hype about trimming your hair. Trimmed ends look good, and cost money, putting some in your stylist's pockets. But hair grows from the root, not the ends. Yeah, split ends don't look nice, but they don't control your hair growth.

THE FACT IS.. most people don't believe certain products work because they are buying crap mislabeled as "hair growth" product. Read, read, read..and research the truth about the ingredients in ANY product you buy.

One tip I got from my local hairstylist and it worked wonders, I have naturally thick (african) hair but it just breaks everytime it reaches a certain length. So he told me, that 1 thing that stylists wont tell us because this advise wont keep their pockets heavy is that, hair grows faster in its natural moisture. He asked me to do an experiment and actually sleep with a shower cap on. I did and the results were amazing, my hair was not dry anymore and instead of relaxing my hair every six weeks, I found I had to do it every 3 weeks because of the rapid growth at the roots. Thats the only thing that ever workd for me. Its crazy sleeping with a shower cap, but its working for me !!

My grandma is alomost 70 and she told me to take fish oil supplements. Her hair is so long and healthy and she cuts it every month because it grows sooo... fast. I just recently started taking them like a few days ago. However, I have tried Nioxin Recharging Complex and it was just a waste of 20 bucks. Also, I have one child and when I was pregnant and taking the prenatal vitamins my hair grew super fast. But I tried to take them when I wasn't pregnant and it made me throw up... so be aware.

I agree with both statements.I had short hair before and have tried a combination of supplements and the shower cap method. My hair grew in no time...about 3 inches and it continued to grow!!! As far as supplements are concerned, I would try the following: MSM- powder form only(Sulfur Protein) they called it the beauty mineral and it works for all purposes. The more potent and pure the MSM the better. The reason why I stated Powder form is it is easily digestible.Along with the MSM,Silica/horsetail(capsule form), Grape seed extract oil Capsules(Standardized form),ginkgo biloba( circulation) and Omega 3 capsules( I prefer the ones that states"Enteric coated"( easily assimilated into your body after after digestion. I hope this helps!! God Bless!!!
