If he's your best friend, you should be able to talk to him about it right? Just try to tell him you're curious about whether he really likes you, because you think maybe he'd just say yes to avoid hurting you. If he's really a good friend, he'll be honest and you'll know for sure what's going on.
Oh, and by the way- worrying and overthinking things like this can complicate relationships! So if he says he likes you, believe him and just enjoy dating someone.
I agree--you need to tell him, without any confusing signals, that you really need to know where he stands in this relationship. Also, if you are his best friend as well, you should respect his decision to just remain friends if it comes to that. just tell him that you want whats best for him, no matter what that means for your guy's relationship.

How do I know if my boyfriend really loves me?
My boyfriend was my best friend before I asked him out. I'm not sure if he acually likes me.. or just said yes because I'm his best friend and didn't want to brake my heart... WHAT SOULD I DO??? I'M LOST!!!
