I can never finish a piece of work!

I like writing ( songs, stories, poems, etc ) but I can never finish anything! I've only ever written 1 whole song, and my note books are full of unfinished stories. How can I get myself to finish something?

okay, here are some ideas:

cobble parts of your unfinished songs toggether
and take a fresh look at your stories. brainstorm all the wacky and wonderful things that could happen. computerise your stories. that way you can go change bits quick

Maybe you need to dedicate yourself to your work. Perhaps its a case of easy distraction or lack of inspiration! Before you start writing make sure you have an open period of time so that you're not rushing and can think in depth. Also make sure that you don't have the tv on or something that will distract you. And always work alone.

I have the same problem. I can never finish anything. I try to write songs but lose motivation at the intro then start all over on another one. I probably won't even finish this message.

I can't finish my writings either because I fear rejection. I wish someone could tell us how to get over these problems.
