Do you think I am legend was a good movie?

Do You think the movie I am legend was good the way they did or should they have follow the book? did you like the theaters ending or the original ending ?

Like most things in comparison, I prefer the book. I think the ending in the book was a little stunted...but it fit within the despair that was building through the progression of the story. The Will Smith movie didnt carry that sense of hopelessness and futility and sadness that is essential to the story and makes for a good horror flick. I was disappointed with the cg fx for the mutant vampires in the movie as well...they never really seemed incarnate...killed my suspension of disbelief.

I havent seen the first movie made from the book. The Omega Man went farther astray from the story than this latest edition. Hollywood isn't known for holding the author's original intent in high esteem.

Yes I thought it was a good movie, it also has an alternate ending. I liked that ending much better!
