You should read the book. Its well worth the read and if you find out the ending it won't be as exciting. I loved the books. I was very tempted to find out the ending, but I didn't want to spoil it for myself and I don't want to spoil it for you.

no, harry doesnt die.. but voldemort does, and so did fred wesely. umm, oh, and so did moody, and there are a bunch more people who died, lol
but yeah.. really REALLY good book
