HI!! I'm a mom of a soon to be 18 yr old. and I found out about 2 or 3 years ago that she was gay. I took it like the world just caved beneath my feet: like my world ended. I mean this is my little girl my daughter. So it's been hard to accept and although I still don't approve what am I to do? She is still my daughter and I love her no matter what. She had an aunt that was gay and sure that was her life her choice. I'm not God to judge anyone but, the hurt was and still is why out of all the girls in the family it has to be my daughter? I hope you get what I'm saying. I'll get over it eventually. Just sit and have a heart to heart with your mom. It's a sensitive subject especially when one is the mother. Best of luck!!

It's good to either write a letter or just simply come out with it. I realize that it can be a very hard thing to do, considering you don't know what her reaction is or will be until you actually tell her. I wish you good luck with this and I hope it goes well.
